Supplements for Candida Treatment

Fortunately for sufferers there are supplements for candida, a condition that was first identified in the 1983 book by Dr. John Parks Trowbridge, The Yeast Syndrome.

Many doctors don't agree with a candida diagnosis, which is best described as a body poisoning emanating from your intestines and then circulating through your body. It makes you feel bad all over because yeast emits toxins and enzymes that circulate in your blood. The condition causes the destruction of immune system cells, making it much more difficult for you to get rid of a yeast infection.

Antibiotics are cited as a culprit in the candida literature, killing off the good intestinal bacteria and making room for yeast to grow. High sugar or carbohydrate diets are also mentioned, as they provide yeast with the ingredients to grow quickly.

Candida treatment is difficult but there are supplements for candida available. Yeast/Fungal Detox helps the body detoxify itself and supports the immune, digestive and urinary systems. The ingredients of Yeast/Fungal Detox are caprylic acid, propionic acid, sorbic acid, Echinacea angustifolia root, oregano, garlic, pau d’arco, selenium and zinc. It comes in capsule form and is taken with meals.

High potency garlic is another of the candida remedies. The tablet doesn’t break down until it reaches the small intestine, so you get the benefits of garlic without the odor. Tests have shown garlic pills are not as effective. High potency garlic is promoted as a benefit to circulation, digestion and the immune system, among other therapeutic properties.

Pau D’Arco immune bark is another candida treatment. It comes from a tree growing in Argentina and Brazil that does not produce fungus, like those surrounding it in the wild. It contains a chemical compound known as lapachol, which is believed to strengthen the immune system.

Other supplements for candida treatment that bolster the immune system include caprylimune, flax seed oil, liquid chlorophyll, psyllium fiber supplement, proactazyme plus plant enzymes and bifidophilus flora sauce. These candida remedies are recommended during your body's detoxification treatment period.

You should eat a healthy diet containing lots of fruits and vegetables, and avoid an excess of sugar and carbohydrates while taking supplements for candida. That means avoiding most baked goods, sweets and sodas as well as starchy pasta and potatoes.

When researching candida remedies on the Internet you will find alternatives for the recommended complete candida control program. They include a two-week cleanse with Cleanstart, taking Bifidophilus Flora Force, proactazyme Pplus plant enzymes, daily multi-vitamin and mineral tablets, a psyllium fiber supplement and a periodic bottle of Yeast Fungal Detox.

Before you start any treatment program, make sure you consult your physician and go over all of your options.
